The founding fathers of Pratap College had recognised the need of provision of residential facility to students since the establishment of the college . The college Khandesh Education Society acting on the advise of the first principle of the college Mr.K.R.Kanitkar decided to construct a big and spacious building s. In 1947 out of generous donation given by Late Pratap Sethji the first hostel building "A" block was constructed. In 1948 "B" block and Mess hall (New Geography Department ) was built . Another building "C" block was completed in 1953 .

Since the beginning , our college has been striving for gender equality . This social concern and commitment is evident in our academic planning and it's execution .The college decided to build same kind of accomodation facility for girls students . The first ladies Hostel was built in 1956-57 There are seperate , well furnished hostel building for girls students . The new ladies hostel was constructed in 2010-11 . The expenditure incurred forit was 85 lackh rupees . It was a rrant given by U.G.C.

In 1960 Gujrathi community constructed new hostel which is known as Vaishnav hostel . In 1972 out of donation given by Late Hashim Premji and grant provided by U.G.C. New Delhi a new gents hostel for P.G. students was built up . The college constructed "D" block especialy for students coming from low inbcome group where these students are provided accomodation facility at affordable fee.
