» Introduction

Amalner is a city of eminent teachers, poets and political activists. It is a place sanctified by great freedom fighter late Shri Sane Guruji, Philanthropist late Shri Pratap Shethaji and saint Shri Sakharam Maharaj and Amalner is known as Prati Pandharpur. Wipro a name in the modern industrial field started its first plant of sunflower vegetable established in 1908 in Amalner Khandesh education Society’s Pratap College, Amalner was established in June 1945. This was achieved through the untiring efforts and handsome donations of its fellows, most outstanding among whom were Shrimant Pratap Shethaji and Late Shri R. K. Bangali contributed a lot to establish college Library.

So his Name given to college Library that is “Late R. K. Bangali Library”.
Late R. K. Bangali Library was started in 1945. It is one of the richest libraries in the North Maharashtra University jurisdiction having 126562 books including Reference books & encyclopedia. The college library regularly subscribes about 20 journals and periodicals.
Computerized library circulation services to students. A big reading room attached with the library having capacity of around 300 students-with a separate seating arrangement for girls. The library also provides Reference Section along with seating arrangement. The Internet with broad band facility is available for U.G., P.G. students, research scholars & staff.
There is open access to library for Teachers, PG Students & research scholars.

There are 10 Computers in the central library, which are used for monitoring the accession, issuing of books and for providing Library services to students.
